Stay in touch- already have a retailer with 46 stores that I have pitched my tile to. He is interested in it and asked specifically about sinks as well. I was going to work on sinks this summer- send me more photos as you get them. Very Nice!!

A suggestion for sinks if I might: the plumbing industry has standardized specs for sinks. Keeping your sink sizes within those standards will help insure sales and no problems for those installing them. If you already knew that- disregard the above. Tom

the only critical size is getting the tailpiece (drain assembly) to fit,no way to compete in standard sink market, got to be "custom"I bought some decent bath sinks when i built my house for $25 each, I got $300 for that one, and id say thats about nominal

Get a deck mount too tall and the choices for faucets get slim..very slim. Seen some glass and hammered metal sinks approaching $1000.00. Tom .... stand pipes are all standard width openings, have to be careful on height however.

Jim's sink is $ooo000ooo much nicer, I'd much rather look at crystals in a sink than my reflection.

Jim: The retailer I have been talking to has sinks in the $700-$900 range in his kitchen/bath displays. In our initial discussion, I told him $350 wholesale for a 17" drop in. I would think deck mounts would start $400 and up wholesale. Every market is different however- but your housing market is double the price as ours. Your biz-your call- but I think $300 is way on the cheap side. Tom

I agree with that but marketing never been my strong suite I always need cash and "we got to move these color TV's" I never really got to the "Money for nuthin and chicks for free" part. I just visited my sister, she told me she just spent 20 grand remodeling her 6'x7' bathroom and i could barely noticed the difference

Then I will offer some marketing advice: 1. It is easier to lower prices, than it is to raise them. People not only want to share the excitement about their new purchase, but also the price they paid. 2. if people buy your product without trying to negotiate: then you are under priced. Chronic shoppers should not be included: you know the ones who expect everything for free. 3. Specialty items requires specialty prices. Coffee mugs are common and readily available- hence the price point for them. Crystalline sinks are extremely rare and uncommon- hence the higher price. 4. Price the sink retail: $750.00. Wholesalers get 40% off, and individual buyers you can gauge their response. If you need to offer 25-30% off to close the deal- then do it. 4. By pricing it retail at $750- you have plenty of room to come down. Pricing it $300 gives no room for negotiating- buyers will always accept going down from $300- but will never accept going up. 5. Once you set a price point- expect that point to be locked in for years to come with little deviation. 6. Locate the high end kitchen/bath retailers in your area- they will sell the sinks for you. (What I am doing.)
