Hi Jose, We have had customers wondering the same thing so we took the liberty of throwing in various objects into a sink that didn't come out very well.
We threw in objects lightly and close to the sink at first, about three tosses per object with each toss getting higher from the sink and more forceful until it was a pretty good throw from shoulder height to the sink on the ground.
We started with keys, a screwdriver, and a hairdryer. No damage was done to the sink whatsoever, be it a crack or a scratch.
We then used a glaze catcher with a rough, uncleaned, sharp edge where it was on the bat when thrown. The glaze catcher got the hardest throw and the glaze catcher exploded into many pieces but the sink did not break. The sink did however get a pretty good scratch where the sharp uncleaned edge of the glaze catcher struck it. I would imagine that a regular sink would have scratched if it were hit with the glaze catcher the same way but we did not test it in a regular sink to know for sure.
I do agree crystal glazes are softer and most likely more prone to scratching.
The sink we tested on was a 14" diameter, 5" inner height, vessel sink made out of b-mix with a porcelain slip and a bit over a half inch in thickness.
I would imagine with regular use the sink would be just fine.
