Hi Greg The first I think is not your to. But The new trend in ceramic is thrown and deformed shapes and why not, in crystalline also. I myselfs is the old scool where throwing marks and rills is bad but I have lately being experimenting with the new trend but it is not as easy as it looks - not easy at all. so it is a fresh breese to se one get a way with it with luck. it is a very nice cup.

Pam / Greg
Very nice work- like the gold handle accent- adds a touch of class to the piece. Crystal size and population is in proportion to the size of the piece- great job. Love how the outer band of the crystal picked up the cobalt blue.

Piper,
Now that there is some fancy chit made outa mud!
Nice job.
And by the way, you really should be sorry about all your posts.
It gets just exhausting seeing someone so cool succeed, and who works so hard at it and is so willing to share useable information. You sharing all the possibilities of what we are involved in just makes me want to quit and go work at a McDonalds on a highway rest stop. I'm sure other folks agree with me but they are just too PC to say anything.

Jose it looks very similar. Pam had to refire her mug, it brings the darker colors upwards and that lighter blue at the top turns to the darker electric blue. you have some of that right in the middle of you first one. If you refired it i bet you would get more. (putting more glaze on of course.)
That electric blue is a very very small window of just the right glaze thickness i believe, and almost impossible for us to get a lot of in the first fire.
Congrats my friend.

Nice job Pam (Greg), the gold handle really brings out the gold in the crystal. Were you able to do the lustre in the reduction firing, combining a low temp load? Probably too hot and reducing for lustre.
I might put a load out in my yard as we are 20 miles from the Butte fire - not req'd to evac yet, but Arnold is on the advisory list.
