Hi, I have a newbie question ... ...at one of the forum's posts Arnie Benton suggested 1350 to 1400 to be the best temp. for reduction. However I have read on different articles... " the self ignition temperature of gas is generally approximately 1300 degrees so be well above this for safety to ensure no excess unburned gas can accumulate and go boom! So don’t reduce till 1500 or above" It also is almost impossible for me to get any reduction flame below 1500f... I may get some by opening the kiln and then closing it...but it doesn't seam the right thing to do as it's messing with my very DIY kiln....but even so i may not get any... so I just closed the damper to 1 inch and maximized the gas w no flame at 1400...got some reduction... but idk... doesnt seem right... The kiln has one venturi burner and no oxyprobe.,etc I'd appreciate any advice to help me not explode! Bests
