G'Day to all my fellow afflicted friends. New platform and a bright new look. Love it. I'm the large Australian in the Flip Flops. Phil likes my " Thongs " so much I think I have to send him a pair. In the Formal Black and White ,of course. I'm a crystalline potter from Queensland Australia and have been since 1977. You'd think I would have learnt by now? This forum is a wonderful tool to exchange ideas and achievements. I'd like to take this opportunity to thank one person I have yet to meet,William Melstrom. Cheers mate, you put a lot of time in to make this happen and we are all very grateful. I should thank all those that have acted and are moderators .Cheers. Even that new guy Greg? Greg? something . I'd also like to thank Spell Check for making me legible to my American friends. We both share a foreign language From the land of the Southern Cross

Welcome aboard Bill, always glad to have a thrower from down under. I have watched your throwing video of the large platter, if you have others: post them please. Enjoy watching yours, or any one else who has them for that matter. Sorta like having instructional videos at your finger tips. One of these days I will get around to throwing, maybe. Had several chances to buy used ones to cut my teeth on; but my supplier has several in his class room. I can go over there anytime when classes are not in session and use them.

Hi Bill I too would like to thankyou for posting the 2piece platter video. I used it to make a crystalline glazed wash basin for our new house extension. Thought it wouldnt happen as that weight is a bit heavy for me now. I made the last lot 23years ago. Thanks Anne

Bill - great videos! I love your jig for flipping large platters! When I go to flip leather hard 20+" platters, it's a two man job with my mom or dad and there is always that "hold on for dear life" moment.
