Well, it's really my third crystalline glaze firing, but my first high fire, so I took the average... this time around I used B-Mix bodies and two different glazes. One was #11 from Jon Price's book. The results were great, but it didn't flow onto the bisque ware as I would have liked. I used Fara's Bory 1 for the other glaze and it was great! Very easy to apply and the results were beautiful. I had a bit of trouble releasing some of the catchers, but successfully got them all off without any damage. They were attached with EPK and Gorilla Wood Glue, but I had thinned down the mixture a bit more and some of my catchers were just a little too small. That needs more accuracy.
Next time around I plan on trying Fara's Celestite glaze. I am very happy with the new L&L kiln. I used the pre-programmed cone 10 crystalline firing schedule and it seemed to give very good results. I will posts pics in a subsequent post.

Thanks Fara! I owe much of the success to you. I'm looking forward to trying the Celestite glaze recipe next time around. I'll let you know how it turns out. The Bory 1 is by far my favorite glaze that I have made up. It flows on so nicely!

Did you fie the Bory 1 glaze to cone 6 or to cone 10?

Cone 10. I used the cone 10 crystalline profile that is pre-programmed into the L&L kiln.
