After Terence E. Warner Synthesis chap 3. "at 850c the quartz is chemically attacked in the subliquidus-supersolidus region resulting in the formation of crystalline CaCuSi 4O 10. G (15 hrs @ 875c)

Hi Joerg, Am using batch 10g CaCO3, 12 g Malachite (Cu2CO3-(OH)2) and 24 g Silica -325 mesh mixed with ~15% flux. Flux is natron (sodium carbonate), borax and salt in equal amounts. combine well. 15 hrs at 875c. Buena suerte G
