Hi Jim - this research is based on the "fact" that magnetic changes don't occur once the ceramic piece has been fired - what we're wondering is if the magnetic fields can change if the piece is reheated to 13-1400 degrees? I'm still trying to get a basic understanding -

Yes if you raise it above the curie point of the material .in this case its the iron oxide particles that are polarized. Magnetite has a Curie point of 585 °C; 1,085 °F, Cobalt is 2000 C
