The only time I have seen these types of oddities, is when I added a small amount of Vandium.

Fun stuff. The crazing at the top of the pot caught my eye. I was just getting caught up with my Ceramics Monthly and read that Richard Hensley - he's does wheel thrown porcelain but not crystalline - swaps out 1/3 to 1/2 of his regular silica for Imsil Silica (an amorphous micronized silica) that you can get from Highwater Clay or Laguna Clay and it completely eliminates crazing. Beware however - more than that ratio and it can increase crawing. I did just one test with it so far - before I'd read the article from Hensley. I purchased the Imsil silica because it's a more pure form of silica so it's said to brighten colors. I didn't notice any difference in the brightness of the colors in my recipe - I used all Imsil silica in that recipe (no Sil-Co-Sil). I have been dealing with a crawling issue anyways lately and trying different solutions to see what works best - crawling is a common issue with single fire. So it did crawl in the 100% Imsil Silica recipe here and there - but not more than the Sil-Co-Sil silica that Laguna has recently substituted it's regular silica with. Good luck.

Sherri i use about 8% ball clay in my singlefire glazes and get very little crawling i think it works better than 2-5% bentonite

Very cool Feri. 8 cm is a pretty good size! Are all the pics of the same piece? Mind sharing a pic of the whole thing? I like those little square shaped oddities. I also like the streaky spots in the yellow glaze.
