Thanks Piper and William! I've been working on getting a photo of our NEW backyard to kick this thread off - been a little busy with getting all settled into this new space and understanding what a slowed down pace actually looks and feels like. (it feels Wonderful!) So this is our new back yard - it looks out over our Chilliwack River and coast mountains and rainforest. Love it here - ya'll are welcome to come visit when on BC's west coast! Now lets get updated on what yours are looking like these days... it's been awhile!

Well, the doc sidelined me to my recliner for one more week. So I am sitting here drinking coffee while sitting on Holly's deck. If I am still here in another hour or so, someone nudge me. It's peaceful sitting here listening to the birds, I can hear the water coming up from the valley: man O man..I am getting sleepy.

Jim:
Is that an old-restored pot belly wood burner I see over by the tree?

And our backyard just got a lot bigger! Having fun with our new retirement acquisition - love flying in the mountains of sw BC. When will I find time to make pots? - the sun is shining.

It's a Glastar. Nice little experimental two seater. We did look at one or two that were trikes, but this was the best one out there available. (One thing about it is that it can be converted to trike easily, and switch out to bigger tires for landing on river bars or beaches really easy) It's a sweet little plane & we're sure enjoying it!! Ken flew it back across the country when new (to us) and we just were up in the other end of BC this past weekend visiting our daughter. Fun to be had!
