I have found the forum at times very inspiring, insghtful and from time to time very helpful. I have been working using a Gile down draft gas kiln, and a large number of electric kilns with two up and working and two others in rotating repair. Most likely because I am not using APM elements and am replacing the elements after 50 firings at come 11. The work I make is mostly made with Colman porcelain clay, and glazed with one of the basic Frits f3110, GF106, F644, F413, and any one got a bag of pimco 283 around any more? ; also was doing the led based F4076, and trying to get it working one more time it just stopped working one day. I love throwing it's zen. And glazing is hell. Spend 50% of my time selling my work 10am to 10pm all summer long at the Sawdust Festavel here in LagunaBeach we had 195,000 people come through the gates in 66 days last summer. Retired last year from Boeing and its taken a year to clean my ceramic studio and get it into some form of organization that might actually be more usable. Welcome Mark, the large plates are particularly admirable. Gordon

Hi Mark,
Great to see you back. Too bad I don't live in Socal anymore, i would have definitely stopped by. Great work, thanks for sharing the pics.
