Denzox works fine, there is plenty available. One guy owns the brand name.

Jim: From what I could tell in the letter: Laguna is switching to all Zinc Nacional products. No changes in 417 that I am aware of. They have been calcining a select few of their products- which I suspect is what you are buying. They are going to calcine the 910 and the 730, which Laguna is bringing in. Denzox is a private brand, but it is processed from a Zinc Nacional product as well. All I know for now- find out soon enough. Note: the letter forwarded to me was directly from Laguna- so I have to assume the info is correct.

Well at least there is SOME left, thanks for the info Tileman.
I have my distributor looking into it, and I'm ready to buy as much as I can, starting with 500 lbs. if they have it.
I do have 200 lbs. in stock right now, and would have been panicking if I was still "Full Time Crystal Guy", like I was before my folks retired. That's all I ever used.
But, that's the way it is. We all know that. Stuff that comes from the ground sometimes just plain old runs out.
I'll get what I can, and stack it right next to my more that lifetime supply of Gerstley Borate. I bought enough of that when I could in anticipation of my son taking over the business when I retire. That isn't a sure thing yet, as he fancy's himself a politician. We'll see...he's in 10th grade and there is plenty of time for everything to pan out.
Till then, I'll run some tests with other brands, see what happens and just keep on hackin' through The Jungle.
I always love the thrill of the chase, trying to get what just isn't available anymore.
Kind of like .22 lr ammunition a couple of years ago. Gotta have something for a little target practice in the back lot. After all, not EVERYTHING comes out of the kilns that are worthy of a spot on the store shelves.
Seek and Ye Shall Find.

Koz: Reason I posted it, I know several in here use it. Horse Head was bought out by ZoChem in Canada, then closed the Horse Head plant in PA. Zochem apparently chose not to continue production of Cerox 506. Would be wise to stock up while you can; from everything I am hearing the remaining inventory will be gone shortly. Check with Sheffield, was told they still had a fair amount- but have not checked that claim. Happy Hunting. I was sent samples of 910 and 730- 730 is the better product. Tom
