Hi I am Kathy Lyles I am a school teacher by day but potter in the evenings and on week days. I took a Crystalline class last fall and have been chasing that elusive pot ever since. I teach Chemistry and Physics so this is similar to a science experiment. Working with recipes and firing schedules has proven to be challenging. First all the crystals ran off the pot then there were too many. I am getting closer to that sweet spot. Loving it

Hi Kathy, My name is Jim Keffer. I'm a part time potter as well and a car dealer here in Charlotte, NC by day. I've been a Potter since College, which was many years ago. I've been playing around with Crystals now for a few years and have really enjoyed it. The nice thing about being a part time potter is I was able to handle the 70% failure rate for the first couple of years as I tried to navigate the process. I'm looking forward to learning more here on the Forum.
