photos.app.goo.gl/23ZX2LpVwF9PVKMaAI am very pleased with my results this time around, however id like more background. I noticed that thinner aplication yielded a little more background glaze, but still not where id like them to be. Any suggestions on where to start?

Wow Walter - really nice rssults! If you want fewer crystals, try lowering the Zinc by 1 or 2%,

Very nice! I like the profusion of crystal structure, but I can see it being equally attractive with more ground. I really like the roundness of your crystal growth. The recipe I use most of the time gives me a more “floral” structure, but I’m experimenting with some new recipes to get more variety in my glazes. This is what I typically get with Fara Shimbo’s Bory 1 recipe.

Ive successfully adjusted this one by lowering the zinc and raising the silica just a bit. High titanium percentage along with my hold pattern makes the crystals circular.
