John, Can you view them now? I changed how I included them. If not I'll ask Greg for help. -Annie

Hey Annie (and Adam in the other thread)... the images not showing up has something to do with your google account you are using. I'm not sure how you are copying the link to the image but you should be right clicking the image and selecting "copy image location" from the drop down. that is the link that /should/ work. I am assuming you are seeing the images show up on your end but that is because you are signed into your account so you have direct access to it. To test if it will work copy the link as I mentioned, then SIGN OUT of your account, then paste that link in the address bar in your browser. If the image shows up it should work.
Going through the code side of it I can't find access to it outside of your account.
If you are still having trouble email me the links and I'll see what I can do.

also, there may possibly be a setting in your google account to allow or share images that might need to be turned on. I don't have a google account so I am not sure.

I didnt realize these images were so close up or that they were the centers of the zinc silicate crystals. zinc silicate crystals can form from many things including a rough bump in the clay so i would imagine you have two types of crystals here with the zinc silicates forming off of these other ones (if that wasnt already obvious...).
upon closer inspection we get these things too and they usually form on glazes we have tweaked to flux a lot more (for flat but we ocassionally put them on vertical and the weird crystals show up on both when the glaze was overfired a bit. )
i wonder if taking images inside during the firing would show these guys grow first, (maybe at higher temps?)
I had a contact that gave me a ton of info to image the inside and i got close to doing it but didnt follow through. plus the setup was a little pricy.

I have found another piece with quite a few of these black crystals who's positions indicate they might not be centres. Will post when I can.
