Hi Jose Marie
Remarkable work in your blog. Big red vase with gold crystals caught my eye besides other brilliant pieces. Is it on oxide or colorant for the Red?

Hi Jose and thanks for the Galaxy glaze recipe. I did a test yesterday but I had a relay failure on my kiln The kiln reached C10 but none or very little hold. Need to repair the kiln and try again. See you in january and we can talk more. Looking forward to that.

Hi Jose, I tried your galaxy glaze - WOW!!! Here are a few photos. One is right out of the kiln - the next is after an hour in acid. I'll post more photos tomorrow with other time points up to and including 24 hours in acid. Cheers, Marie

The next 2 photos after 12 hours, then 24 hours in acid. What do you think Jose? I can definitely see similarities to your results, but I am not as familiar to the glaze as you are. Marie

Hi Marie, very nice, you have it, I think the crystals are the same as mine if you try this same glaze with different clays you can get diferents results I use a grog stoneware body, with porcelain slip, I think because the grog, I have more micro crystals in my background Very nice Marie

I just saw yours beautiful red vase with gold crystals. Something on recipe caught my eye. It's 5% (50 grams in 1 kg) black iron oxide. It's fascinating to me that with that amount of iron oxide the glaze remains transparent!? It looks like the chemistry of crystals glazes is above the chemistry of "ordinary" glazes!

Hi Jose I tried your Galaxy Glaze and somewhere in the translation I got the recipe mixed up. I didn't add the Frit 644 (Have to get from the US and only used 3110 (4110 in Australia) One of the glazes came out a really yukky gold brown with no crystals. lol The other two were absolutely stunning. No crystalss like yours but I am VERY pleased with the result.
Do you have any other versions of these glazes I could try or versions of colours? I aam a fairly new Crystal Glaze Artist and are looking for stable recipes that give amazing results like yours do. Any help would be appreciated. I will try and post some pics of the pots for you to see (Not sure how to do that as there is no option to post photos that I can see.. I am also going to try and source 644 and make the glazes according to your recipe and try that too.
