Just got my first L&L kiln so excited it is joining the old work horses Skutts and heavily modified Cresses. Now for the L&L controler looks like the Skutt/Bartlett is it a Bartlett Controler? Is the programmin basically the same, same basic functinality? Any words of wisdum. Got the L&L after taking a hard look at its superior construction and element holders. Next winter I will rip apart the other kilns and replace the bricks that hold elements that over time are in sad shape. Needless to say got kiln from a biz that went belly up and no instrucyions. Any Controler info would be Appreciated, or about the L&L.

A couple comments - if the board says bartlett, find out where the serial number is and call them to find out if it can work with S-Type thermocouples. When starting off with crystalline, I feel that this is a top requirement if you want to start getting consistent results. If you can, do some standard cone 10 or whatever fires with cone packs on every shelf. Take notes on shelf placement and kiln loading. Then use the thermocouple offset function to try and dial in an even fire top to bottom.
